Stage 1: Assess
Great Expectations with LoTi begins with collecting data online or offline from all credential staff members (i.e., building administrators, classroom teachers, resource teachers, media specialists) using the nationally-validated Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi) Questionnaire. This step creates a school- or district-wide LoTi Technology Use Profile in three key dimensions associated with effective technology use in the classroom: Level of Technology Implementation (LoTi), Personal Computer Use (PCU), and Current Instructional Practices (CIP). Participating LoTi Project Schools also gather additional data regarding their current technology infrastructure, performance on recent standardized tests, and current school/district curriculum initiatives.
